Caroline Milliken, a fourth-year student at Ohio State studying Strategic Communication and English, has served as a student intern with the STEAM Factory since October 2014. Her role within the STEAM Factory is widespread; she manages several interns and their projects, works on communication and outreach initiatives, graphic design, and website content, and helps with event planning.

 

Caroline has enjoyed getting to know the STEAM Factory's professors and staff members, and through these relationships seeing interdisciplinary collaboration in action. As a double major with interdisciplinary career goals, she enjoys feeling the creative energy of the group when a new project arises and seeing how similar research will impact her work in the future. 

 

On campus, Caroline also works as a Resident Manager through University Housing and is involved with Student-Alumni Council, Mortar Board, and Buckeye Leadership Fellows. In her free time, Caroline enjoys exploring Columbus, trying new foods, and watching movies. She will graduate in May 2016 and plans to work abroad for a year before applying to a graduate program in City and Regional Planning.
