Margaret Murphy, instructional design coordinator, has been a part of the College of Public Health team since 2015. She is responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that helps learners acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner, through a variety of modalities. Margaret applies best practices in instructional design theories, practice and methods to course design, and designs courses based on the Quality Matters™ framework. One of the things she loves most about her work is the multiple opportunities for collaboration with both faculty and staff to create high-quality learning experiences that enhance the personal and professional growth of the learner. In 2019 she received the College of Public Health Employee of the Year. Margaret received her Bachler of Science from SUNY Fredonia and her M.Ed from Northeastern University in Adult and Organizational Learning. Before working at OSU, she was a nationally certified sign language interpreter for 20 years. She also secretly wishes to be in a rock band.
