Zoë is an agricultural and food systems economist. She conducts research to inform development of a food system of the future that’s better for people and the planet. She does this by: (1) evaluating food system investments + innovations, (2) evaluating food and agricultural policy, (3) exploring the role of democratic organizations in the food system, and (4) reflecting on the work of higher education. Zoë also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in food and agricultural economics and conducts outreach to agricultural and food system stakeholders in Ohio and nationally. She is also a faculty affiliate of the Ohio State Sustainability Institute. Within STEAM, Zoë serves on the Executive Leadership Board and co-leads the Racial Justice Pathways pilot program.
