Zoë Plakias is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics.

Zoë’s research interests span agricultural economics, agricultural and food policy, industrial organization, and institutional and organizational economics. She is currently working on research projects related to voting power and behavior in U.S. agricultural producer organizations, welfare impacts and farmer decision making in local food systems, and farm-to-school supply chains.

Zoë received her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2016 and her B.A. in Economics from Western Washington University in 2010.
