Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Chia Lin’s research revolves the health and dynamics of pollinators in human-altered landscapes, with an emphasis on pollinators in agricultural systems. She works closely with farmers and beekeepers to identify research priorities and explore management strategies that promote pollinator health.  Her current work includes (1) investigating the role of soybean blooms in supporting honey bee productivity and improving yield; (2) evaluating the effects of cover crops and conservation easements on pollination services to cash crops; (3) documenting key floral resources for honey bees in Ohio’s agricultural landscapes; and (4) advancing pollinator-friendly management strategies in the corn-soybean agroecosystems.
