The Columbus Science Pub presents the first ever online edition of “Weird Science,” the show that’s part stand-up comedy, part science review, and all fun. All ticket sales and donations will support the performers and staff at Shadowbox Live and Up Front at Shadowbox Live! In this special edition, Dr. Rob Pyatt leads a discussion of some of the strangest science studies ever conducted. Can pregnant women change the smell of their amniotic fluid by eating garlic? What can cause the poop of a 12 year old boy to look like strawberry ice cream? What do our cats do for fun during the day when we used to be at work? Attendees will be sent a link to the live event, and a survey for audience members to fill out before the show. A self- describes himself as a “stand-up scientist,” Dr. Rob Pyatt is an Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics at Kean University, and serves as a consultant for genetic diagnostic laboratories across the country. He is also a contributing writer to the Annals of Improbable Research. Come laugh, learn, and support some of the hardest working performing artists around!
