The Office of Faculty Affairs invites all faculty who are preparing, or planning to prepare, their dossier for P&T review to a half-day workshop titled "Telling Your Story" in person on Friday, March 10. Participants will hear from a colleague on how to create a compelling professional narrative, and how to clearly identify themselves as the central character of the story. They will receive feedback on their own narrative (NOTE: participants should bring their narrative of professional achievements in whatever shape it is) from other members of the workshop based on prompts from storytelling techniques.
Participants will also hear from a panel of academic leaders who read faculty dossiers “across the curriculum” and will share what they have seen work (and what needs attention) in faculty narratives. The panel will be followed by a Q&A session to provide an opportunity for participants to engage with panelists on the subject of professional narratives.
