With the start of the fall semester comes the return of our monthly STEAM Exchanges! And like always, we could use some help putting them together.

You’re invited to join us for a STEAM Exchange Working Group meeting where we will begin to plan our STEAM Exchange schedule for 2024. Interested members will also have the chance to volunteer to moderate their own STEAM Exchange! This meeting will take place at Land Grant Brewery at 5pm on Friday, August 30th.

What do STEAM Exchange moderators do, exactly?

STEAM Exchange moderators agree to complete few hours worth of work related to their STEAM Exchange:

  • Determine the broad STEAM Exchange theme for your event (Ex: Blood, Conflict, Light, etc.)
  • Find 3 speakers from different disciplines to speak on your topic from their research perspective
  • Moderate your STEAM Exchange: Introduce the event to the audience, introduce the speakers, make sure speakers stay within their time limit and help moderate the Q&A sessions
  • No prior experience is necessary!
