Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Unlearning Hour: Kachawillaykuna

Shield
February 17, 2023
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
480 Hopkins Hall OR via Zoom

Kachawillaykuna's Our Unlearning Hour is an informal discussion space to reflect together on two central questions: What does centering global Indigenous arts & humanities look like at a settler colonial land-grab university? What methods can we, non-Indigenous accomplices in dialogue with Indigenous scholars, artists & activists, share to enable a concrete decolonial praxis of unlearning? This event is working in collaboration with local Two Spirit Afro-Indigenous artist and educator Indigo Gonzales Miller, and coordination with the American Indian Studies Program and the Center for Ethnic Studies.

This week, In addition to reflecting on last week's welcome & drop-in with artists Anna Tsouhlarakis & M. Carmen Lane, they will welcome Layla Muchnik-Benali, Curatorial Assistant in the Film/Video department at the Wex, whom they have to thank for inviting & organizing legendary Abenaki filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin's visit to the Wex on March 3rd.
