I am an Associate Professor at the City and Regional Planning program at The Ohio State University.

My research and teaching focus on exploring the political economy and environment of cities and suburbs in the U.S.  I am particularly interested in planning and policy concerns related to the growth, decline, and redevelopment of communities.

My current teaching centers on three important aspects of urban planning: gentrification in the city; land development; and city and regional planning theory.
