Presented by the College of Education and Human Ecoogy, this year’s Advanced Methods Institute features internationally recognized and award-winning qualitative scholars. They will share innovations in qualitative inquiry and strategies for application for your research projects. The theme is to advance innovation, equity, diversity and justice in qualitative research.

Ladson-Billings will present “It turns out 8 is enough: The power of small-scale, qualitative research to transform the field.” Professor Emerita Patti Lather will also present Ladson-Billings with the Patti Lather Distinguished Award.

The institute will include multiple concurrent sessions on Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9.
A half-hour vendor fair will be offered each day, as well as spaces for connection and community-building on Thursday afternoon for cohorts ranging from early career scholars to senior scholars, scholars of color and graduate students.
Note that all conference sessions, including keynotes, workshops and breakout spaces, will feature live captioning.
