Opinions: the stuff that arguments are made of! But how do we form these attitudes about the world around us, and what causes them to change?
Dr. Andy Luttrell’s researches how people form opinions, including when and how those attitudes change. In particular, he wants to know what happens when people moralize their attitudes. Moral arguments can be compelling and change someone’s mind. But they can also backfire! Andy will be sharing some timely thoughts on how moral arguments can be used in public health campaigns. Andy is both an alum of The Ohio State University and The Up Front stage.
