The Alliance for the American Dream is wrapping up its second round of seeking out innovative and bold ideas that bolster the middle class and ensure families have equal access and opportunity to thrive. In 2018, The Microfarm Project participated in the first round of the Alliance for the American Dream initiative, making it to the top 3 ideas in Ohio and pitching against teams from Arizona, Utah and Wisconsin in the final round. The Microfarm Project went on to launch a three year, $2 million pilot effort with other funding in the summer of 2019 and their microfarm producers are just completing their first full summer of crop production.
