2018 COMPAS Visual Art Contest

Paintbrush and palette

Ohio State’s Center for Ethics and Human Values’ COMPAS program will be holding a visual art contest on their annual topic on Mar. 9. This year’s theme is religion, including suggested topics such as “Religion as a cause of violence and a force for peace.” Submissions will be split into two categories: college students (Ohio State, CCAD, or others) and the greater Columbus community. According to their website, submissions of all visual art types will be accepted, including, but not limited to, painting/drawing, sculpture, glass, photography, art and technology, printmaking, and ceramics. Awards will be given in both categories: Grand Prize ($500), up to two awards of excellence ($250 each), and up to three awards of distinction ($50 each). There is a limit that two pieces may be submitted per person. Extended deadline for submissions: Feb. 28.

Best of luck to all participants!
