STEAM Member David Anderson, other math faculty, awarded NSF RTG grant
Stefan Patrikis, David Anderson, Angelica Cueto, and Jennifer Park have been awarded a 5-year, $2.1 million Research Training Group grant from the National Science Foundation in the areas of Arithmetic, Combinatorics, and Topology of Algebraic Varieties. Several other OSU faculty will also be involved.
The grant will provide topics courses in these subject areas, training seminars, research groups, conferences, mentoring and REUs. From the abstract: "This Research Training Group at Ohio State University will prepare a new generation of researchers in algebraic geometry and related fields, with an emphasis on the subject's wealth of perspectives and consequently deep interactions with other mathematical fields."
