Nicholas Kawa, an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology and a STEAM member, was recently featured on NPR's Morning Edition discussing the start of a geological epoch defined by how humans have impacted Earth. Kawa's research centers on human-environment interactions, with specific focus on human cultural relationships to plants, soils and bodily waste.
