Tanya Berger-Wolf, the director of the Translational Data Analytics Institute at Ohio State and a STEAM member, was recently quoted in an article by Gizmodo titled, "Ohio State University Researchers Are Using AI to Understand Changing Biodiversity." Recently, Berger-Wolf was awarded a U.S. National Science Foundation grant to establish a new field of study: imageomics. As a computational ecologist, her research is at the unique intersection of computer science, wildlife biology and social sciences.
