Ryan Burrows is a PhD student, soon to be candidate, in chemical engineering. He researches catalysts with a goal to increase the efficiency of chemical feed stock production through removal of unwanted side products and high conversion. More specifically he works on designing and synthesizing microporous catalysts like zeolites. Ryan is originally from Maryland but came to The Ohio State University for undergrad, graduating in 2022 with a B.S. in chemical engineering. Since then, he has continued on at OSU for graduate school, working towards his PhD. Ryan is curious about how science and science literature can be better vetted and what ways scientists can help increase the public’s trust in them and the science they do.
