I am originally from Tehran, IRAN. I obtained my MS in Statistics and PhD in Operations Research degrees from Pennsylvania State University. I joined the Integrated Systems Engineering (ISE) Department at The Ohio State University in August 2016. My research is related to continuous optimization algorithms and their applications in machine and statistical learning. On the applied side, I am interested in problems related to renewable energy systems and genome association studies.
