Christopher E. Gaw, MD, MPH, MBE is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and an Attending Physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Gaw's research is focused on the epidemiology and prevention of pediatric injuries and poisonings. He has significant experience leveraging administrative databases to better characterize injury and poisoning hazards to children with the goal of informing education, advocacy, and policy initiatives, as well as targeted interventions. Dr. Gaw's more recent work is focused on: 1) the identification and triage of children with post-traumatic stress disorder after injury, and 2) early identification and management of children and adolescents presenting after opioid exposure and opioid use disorder.
