Amanda Huynh is a product and food designer working at the intersections of community-building, social innovation, and sustainable design. Amanda has worked and lectured across a variety of design disciplines in Vancouver, Bali, Shanghai, Barcelona, and London, England. The root of her research and practice is in liberatory, participatory design futures.
Ongoing research include:

> Designing for dignity in aging through the lens of food
> Tangible interfaces in co-design
> Embodied physical play in remote co-design technologies for children
Prior to her appointment at Ohio State, Amanda was Associate Professor of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She began her teaching career at her alma mater, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, teaching in the Faculties of Design + Dynamic Media, and Culture + Community. At ECUAD, she also managed the DESIS Lab, a research lab for Design for Social Innovation Towards Sustainability.
