Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Dr. Leveni is Assistant Professor of Sustainable Geoenergy Engineering. She was a LEGACY Postdoctoral Scholar in the department of Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering at the Ohio State University (OSU). She holds a B.S. and a M.S. in engineering geology from the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy). She obtained a PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Rome Niccolò Cusano (Italy). Before joining OSU, she worked as research engineer at the University of South Florida, Tampa, on innovative multi-generation systems. Dr. Leveni's research aims to understand how energy systems and society can better use the subsurface resources we have, and how their efficient use can contribute to a sustainable energy supply and storage, using interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches across engineering, geology, geotechnics, data science, statistics, physics, and environmental sciences. Dr. Leveni was born in Seregno, a small city near Milan, Italy, and she is a huge fan of teas and cookies.
