Karin Musier-Forsyth is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Her research focuses on RNA-protein interactions in retroviruses such as HIV-1 and HTLV-1, as well as SARS-CoV-2. She also works on aminoacyl-tRNA syntheses and fidelity mechanisms in protein translation. She co-directs a T32 NIH Cellular and Molecular Biosciences training grant program and is Director of the Center for RNA Biology.
