Laura has a Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree and is currently pursuing her PhD at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Her research is focused on shared decision making in maternity care. She is passionate about equitable healthcare access and provision, improvement in maternity care in the United States, and the bodily autonomy of women in reproductive and pregnancy care. In her free time, Laura enjoys hiking, exploring, and traveling with her 8-year-old son, investing in friendships, laughing, and practicing yoga.
