William Marras leads study that finds link between thoughts and neck and back during lifting

William Marras

William Marras, executive director of the Spine Research Institute and a STEAM member, was featured in Ohio State News for his research on cognitive dissonance and its impact on the back during lifting. Results from the study showed that the higher the cognitive dissonance score of a participant, the greater the extent of loading on the upper and lower parts of the spine.
